Welcome to my website!
My research interests cover continental tectonics, crustal evolution, basin formation and resources. Current projects include: - Co-PI in UKRI/NERC funded Copper Basin Exploration Science (CuBES) project. Focus on basin analysis of the Katangan basin of Zambia and the DRC and the prolific Copper mineral systems. - Leader of a multinational, geophysical and geological investigation of the driving mechanism of cratonic basins, based on the Parnaiba basin of Brazil. - On going enquiry into the development of continental lithosphere comprising: the tectonic and geomorphic evolution of Central Africa; the lithospheric, crustal and tectonostratigraphic development of the complex of cratonic remnants, Proterozoic basins, orogenic belts, and Phanerozoic rifting and high plateau formation. - Tectonic evolution of the Carboniferous basins of Northern England and the Southern North Sea based around the Integration of 2 and 3D seismic data and basin modelling techniques. |
